In this year's course program "Changes, Challenges and Sensitivities in unpredictable times", global economic, social and technological challenges are critically reflected upon interactively in workshops and solutions are collectively developed.
With reference to Shakespeare's Prince Hamlet that "time is out of joint", the world is confronted with unwelcome developments and unpredictable future scenarios. The rise of populism and isolationism is reversing the trend of globalization and international cooperation. With climate change, the COVID pandemic and increasing military conflicts, we are witnessing a rise in populism worldwide, resulting in de-globalization and the emergence of polarizing societies between and within nations. This applies to all areas of international political and economic cooperation and also has a negative impact on the education sector.
