The Deutschlandstipendium (Germany Scholarship) provides support to students at the University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven who show excellent academic achievements and also engage in voluntary activities. The recipients are awarded with 300 euros per month. The scholarship does not count toward BAföG and does not need to be repaid. The programme is financed by regional companies, institutions, foundations as well as private individuals and the Federal Ministry for Education and Research with equal shares.
Additional to the financial support, the scholarship holders are also accompanied by the regional sponsors. Sponsors and scholarship holders meet together regularly for events, which are organized by the university together with the scholarship holders. Personal contact between the sponsors and the scholarship holders is also appreciated.
