Passion for education and research

Set sail for new horizons at our university

The key feature of our university is its maritime profile. The reason for this is not only geographical, being located directly on the Weser estuary in the North Sea, but also academic, due to its innovative, modern and maritime-influenced study programmes.
With our offering of more than 20 study programmes, we provide quality education to the specialists and top performers of tomorrow. We have received a number of awards for our practice-oriented, innovative teaching concepts and for our excellent academic environment. Fostering the strengths of each individual is a key part of our philosophy. Students, teachers, researchers and colleagues can therefore develop their potential with us and ensure progress in our region and beyond with their creative ideas.

The seaside university central location with everything in easy reach

Our campus is located in the Bremerhaven city centre and is easily accessible by public transport. Thanks to the university's compact size, the buildings are within easy reach of each other. So between classes there is even time for a drink at the student café. What's more, we are the "seaside university" for good reason – if you want to breathe in the fresh sea air after a hard day's work, you can get to the Weser dyke and the Havenwelten maritime district in just five minutes.

On our virtual tour, you can easily explore the campus. The tour was developed by students of the Business Administration programme.
